Filipino Nilaga Soup
Filipino Nilaga Soup
(Ready in about 45 minutes | Servings 4)
You can use a slow cooker to cook this soup; cook on high for 4 hours or until the meat is fork-tender.
You can also add beef chuck roast or ribs and cook it all together.
INGREDIENTS :-
1 teaspoon butter
1 pound pork ribs, boneless and cut into small pieces
1 shallot, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 (1/2-inch) piece fresh ginger, chopped
1 cup water
2 cups chicken stock
1 tablespoon patis (fish sauce)
1 cup fresh tomatoes, pureed
1 cup cauliflower “rice”
Sea salt and ground black pepper, to taste
RECIPE :-
1. Melt the butter in a pot over medium-high heat. Then, cook the pork ribs on all sides for 5 to 6 minutes.
2. Add the shallot, garlic and ginger; cook an additional 3 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients.
3. Let it cook, covered, for 30 to 35 minutes. Ladle into individual bowls and serve.
